NHL trends: who is rising, who is declining
Every player on a current roster, ranked by three signals: the change in pace (points per game for a skater, goals saved above expected per 100 shots for a goalie), age, and the change in PAL Rating. Each signal is +1, 0 or −1; their sum gives the trend. Hover an arrow for the detail.
PAL Rating and Value Rating →A trend is a hint, not a prediction. It reads past seasons: it knows nothing about injuries, trades or role changes, and a declining player can very well bounce back. A player needs at least two signals to be judged.
