Privacy Policy

What PickALeague.com collects, the cookies it uses (including Google's advertising cookies) and your rights. Updated October 4, 2026.

Who is responsible

PickALeague.com is published by H1 Site (h1site.com), in Quebec. The person in charge of protecting personal information, under Quebec's Law 25, is the management of H1 Site. For any question or request about your information: info@h1site.com.

What we collect

You can read the whole site without an account. We then collect only technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page and date of the visit. It is used to run the site, measure its audience and show advertising. If you create an account (for the pool or your profile), we also keep your email address, the name and photo provided by Google if you sign in with Google, and what you save on the site (your pool rosters, for example). Your password is never stored in plain text. If you write to us, we keep your message and address to answer it.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file stored in your browser. We use four kinds: essential cookies, which keep you signed in; audience measurement cookies (Google Analytics), which tell us, in aggregate, which pages are read; advertising cookies (Google AdSense), described below; and Amazon's cookie, set only if you click a link to Amazon. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site stays readable, but signing in requires essential cookies.

Google advertising

The site shows Google AdSense ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of other third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info (and, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu). To learn how Google uses data from sites that show its ads: How Google uses information from sites that use its services. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, your consent is requested before any advertising cookie, and you can change it at any time through the “Privacy settings” link at the bottom of every page.

Audience measurement

Google Analytics tells us, in aggregate, how many people visit the site, where they come from and which pages they read. We do not use it to identify you. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Affiliate links

Some links to Amazon are affiliate links: as an Amazon Associate, PickALeague earns from qualifying purchases, at no cost to you. These links are labeled. Amazon may set its own cookies once you are on its site; its privacy policy then applies.

Who we share with

We do not sell or rent your information. It is only entrusted to the providers that run the site, each for its own role: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and accounts), Google (audience measurement, advertising, Sign in with Google) and Amazon (affiliate links). These providers are mostly located in the United States, so your information may be processed outside Quebec and Canada, where laws differ. We only choose providers that offer adequate protection. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept as long as the account exists and deleted within 30 days of its deletion. Audience measurement data is kept for at most 14 months. Emails we receive are kept while we handle the request, then for at most two years.

Your rights

You may at any time ask to access your information, have it corrected, receive it in a common format, withdraw your consent, or have your account and its data deleted. Write to us at info@h1site.com; we answer within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can contact Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

The site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information about them; if a parent finds otherwise, they can write to us and we will delete it.

Security

Traffic to the site is encrypted (HTTPS), access to data is limited to the people who need it, and passwords are stored in hashed form by our account provider. No system is perfectly secure: if an incident affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

Changes

This policy may change; the update date appears at the top of the page. Last updated: October 4, 2026. See also our terms of use.
