How it's calculatedHide the method
Play-by-play and snap counts come from nflverse; pressure, missed tackles, drops and coverage (targets, yards and passer rating allowed) from Pro Football Reference; separation and rush yards over expected from the NFL's Next Gen Stats. EPA (expected points added) measures how much a play changes the points the offense can expect, given down, distance and field position; CPOE, completion percentage above what the difficulty of the throws predicted.
“Regulars”: 450 snaps over an 18-week season (250 dropbacks for a quarterback, 120 carries and targets for a running back, 18 attempts for a kicker, 35 punts for a punter), prorated to the weeks played. A player appears once he reaches a third of that threshold.
