How it's calculated

Like the NHL and MLB ratings: four weighted seasons (50%, 25%, 15%, 10%), a prior toward the group average, the percentile rank among regulars, then the rating (50th percentile → 75, 90th → 87, 99.5th → 97). Neither PAL nor WAR enters OV. A validation bench checks every season that OV stays consistent with PAL, WAR and BPM.
