Devin Shore's story
Growing up in Ajax and moving through Whitby’s junior ranks, Devin Shore worked his way to The Hill Academy before committing to the University of Maine, where he combined a finance major with three seasons of Division I hockey.
At Maine Shore developed into a key forward and a leader. He progressed from freshman to team captain in his final collegiate year, finishing among the program’s top scorers and earning postseason honours within Hockey East and on regional All‑American lists. Dallas had already selected him 61st overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, a pick that paved the way for his jump to the pros.
Shore turned pro late in the 2014–15 season, signing an entry-level deal with the Dallas Stars and joining their AHL affiliate in Texas. He opened his professional career strongly — earning AHL player of the month honours early on — and made his NHL debut for Dallas in November 2015. Over the next decade Shore moved through several NHL organisations: he was traded to Anaheim in January 2019, then to Columbus in February 2020, later joined Edmonton, signed with Seattle for 2023–24, and inked a deal with Minnesota on July 1, 2024. After ten NHL seasons he chose to continue his career overseas, signing with HC Sparta Praha of the Czech Extraliga in June 2025.
There are no major international tournament entries highlighted in his public record, but his résumé lists individual awards at junior and collegiate levels, including OJHL recognition and multiple Hockey East All‑Star selections.
On the ice Shore plays as a centre who blends offensive instincts with team responsibility. He has shown he can chip in on the scoresheet while taking on various line and depth roles, adapting his game to fit the needs of different clubs throughout a career marked by frequent moves and steady professional contributions.
