The NFL salary cap is about 301.2 M$ for 2026. It is a hard cap: no team can exceed it, but each can carry over the room it left unused the previous season, so its adjusted cap differs slightly. A player's cap number spreads his signing bonus over the length of the deal, so it can be far from his average per year.
