The Carolina Hurricanes added another milestone to their championship year on Sunday night, hosting a private ring ceremony to celebrate their 2026 Stanley Cup title. Players, coaches and team staff gathered as the organization unveiled an elaborate championship ring designed to capture the details of their winning season.
Nearly 900 stones and layered tributes to a Cup run
The ring, created by luxury jeweller Jason of Beverly Hills, is loaded with symbolism and sparkle. It features nearly 900 individually set stones, including 9.80 carats of white diamonds and natural red rubies, echoing the Hurricanes’ colours and the magnitude of their achievement.
In a statement, general manager Eric Tulsky praised the design, saying it reflects the identity of the club and what the group accomplished together. Each ring is customized for its recipient, incorporating personal touches along with references to key numbers from the season and playoffs.
One of the most visible details is the phrase “STRESS GAME” on the side of the ring, a nod to Carolina’s up-tempo, pressure-driven style of play. The year “2026” is filled with 53 diamond points, representing the Hurricanes’ 53 wins in the regular season.
Around the perimeter of the face, 66 natural red rubies stand for the 66 goals Carolina scored during the playoffs. Inside the central design, 69 additional red rubies are set to mark the total number of victories the team recorded across both the regular season and post-season.
State pride, Storm Surge and a hidden mascot
The underside of the ring’s top pays tribute to North Carolina, featuring the state flag surrounded by 42 white diamonds. Those 42 stones correspond to the goals the Hurricanes scored in the Eastern Conference Final and Stanley Cup Final combined.
Encircling the flag are the players’ numbers, a reference to the club’s trademark “Storm Surge” victory celebration that became a hallmark of home wins. Each ring also includes the player’s signature engraved along the bottom edge, further personalizing the keepsake.
Perhaps the most unusual element is tucked inside the ring: a removable championship puck pendant. The puck is engraved with the Stanley Cup and personalized with each player’s number. When it is taken out, it reveals a hidden image of Stormy, the Hurricanes’ mascot, depicted in rubies and diamonds.
Along the inside shank, the Hurricanes’ 16-3 playoff record is inscribed, along with the results of each series, preserving the club’s path to the Cup in metal and stone. For the franchise and everyone who received one, the 2026 Stanley Cup ring serves as a permanent, highly detailed reminder of the players, moments and traditions that defined Carolina’s championship run.
